Psalm 29
A Psalm of David
Ascribe to the Lord, you heavenly beings,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory and thunder,
The Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
The Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon leap like a calf,
Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the Lord strikes
with flashes of lightning.
The voice of the Lord
shakes the desert;
The Lord shakes the desert of Kadesh.
The voice of the Lord twists the oaks
and strips the forests bare.
And in His temple, all cry "Glory!"
The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
The Lord sits enthroned forever.
The Lord gives strength to his people;
The Lord blesses his people with peace.
One thing I love about David's psalms is that he teaches us to acknowledge the splendor and power of God and at the same time his love and compassion for his creation. How could a God who has authority over the waters, the forests, and deserts love me and care about my peace? Although it sounds impossible in our finite minds, it is nonetheless true.
The voice that is over the waters.
The voice that shakes the desert.
The voice strips the forests,
Is the same voice that brings me peace.
We had a lovely time last Sunday catching up and painting. We were creatively stretched with the watercolors, but "wow" the pages ended beautifully.

We also had a lovely prayer time. Let's continue to pray for each other.
We never know what someone is going through.
Thank you so much for coming. We look forward to our next meet-up.
Because the holidays are quickly approaching, we will probably meet in 2025.
I hope you have a lovely holiday season with family and friends.
I'll be in touch. Blessings . . .
